Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Services
Non-destructive testing is an excellent way to test a weld for quality without damaging the material.
As you know, poor quality products cost money but our certified weld inspectors utilize methods that detect issues without destroying the product. The result is you save money in the long run and boost confidence in the quality of welds and standard specifications.
Magnetic Particle Testing – Creates a magnetic flux that can be analyzed to detect welding flaws and quality issues. This method of NDT is portable and is an excellent option for onsite testing. Our certified welding inspector will quickly detect cracks or abnormalities so you can get back to work.
Liquid Penetrant Testing – Detecting surface cracks or breaks can be challenging. Utilizing a liquid penetrant dye along with chalk on the weld material helps defects to appear for our certified weld inspectors. PT is a fast and low cost NDT option to accurately detect surface cracks and defects.
Ultrasonic Testing – Using ultrasound equipment, our certified weld inspectors are able to detect internal defects that can impact quality and reliability. Only a trained CWI can accurately interpret the data rendered from an ultrasonic test. Our team is experienced in both performing and reading ultrasonic images.
Visual Testing – With years of experience, our certified welding inspectors know how to perform visual testing before, during and after the welding process. This is a great way to proactively stop defect weld processes and a cost-effective way to detect abnormalities. Our team works with yours and delivers results.
Establishing a trusted vendor relationship takes work and our third party vendor surveillance and monitoring can help.
When it comes to quality assurance, there should be no shortcuts. Your weld vendor needs to follow proper quality controls to ensure optimal products.
With third party vendor surveillance and monitoring, our team of certified weld inspectors can review issues, audit the vendor’s weld processes and provide a full correction plan.
